In 2000, one of our local residents, Mr Robert Thompson wrote and published with Monmouthshire County Council a 47 page booklet entitled

Images of Itton - The Story of a Rural Parish

Another of our residents, Mr Alan Beattie provided the line drawings to illustrate the work.

In the booklet Mr Thompson has charted the history of Itton, and captured stories from many of the existing residents to bring to life the story of Itton.

The booklet was originally on sale for £ 3.95, and is still available through the local library in nearby Chepstow.

2008 marked the 50th Anniversary of the dispersal of the Itton Estate by the Curre family, which led to the bequeathing of the Village Hall to the villagers in Trust.
